Join the Faith Formation families as we spend an hour with Jesus on Wednesday, February 20, 7:00 - 8:00 pm in the church. What will happen during this hour? First, Father James will take a sacred host from the Tabernacle and place it in a monstrance (special vessel for displaying the host), on the altar. As Catholics, we believe that Jesus is fully present in the reserved host which was actually transformed into the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus during Mass. Once on the altar, Jesus will be with us in a very real way. We will sing to Him and spend quiet time with Him. We will listen to scripture, and maybe hear a witness of God’s love. We will bask in His presence!
So think about it. If you have an hour with Jesus, what would you want to do? What would you want to tell Him? It could be an hour to thank Him and just love Him as He loves you back! It could be an hour to rest, to ask for peace, be refreshed and give Him your cares. Jesus said, “Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
During the hour Fr. James will be available for Reconciliation. The evening will end with refreshments in the narthex area.
